Prof. Rik R. Tykwinski is one of the top physical organic chemists, specializing in polyyne chemistry. He has been focusing his research on wide range of π-electron systems, mainly polyyne, which is a 1-dimensional carbon chain. In this time, he will give us a lecture titled ''Synthesis and structure-property relationships of 1-D carbon chains''.
