Summary:

Daniel T. Gryko obtained his Ph.D. from the Institute of Organic Chemistry of the Polish Academy of Sciences in 1997, under the supervision of Professor Janusz Jurczak. After staying in USA as a postdoctoral research fellow (Professor Jonathan Lindsey in North Carolina State University, 1998-2000), he went back to Poland to obtain an academic position at the Institute of Organic Chemistry of the Polish Academy of Sciences. In 2003, he became a group leader and following that, he became a full Professor in 2008. His current research interests are focused on the synthesis and spectroscopy of advanced functional dyes with a special emphasis given to porphyrinoid family (corroles, chlorins etc.).
