ITbM's 3 PIs named as 2017 Highly Cited Researchers
ITbM's three PIs: Professors Wolf B. Frommer (ITbM overseas PI, Heinrich Heine Universität Düsseldorf, Max Planck Institute for Breeding Research, Köln), Kenichiro Itami (ITbM Center Director) and Steve A. Kay (ITbM overseas PI, University of Southern California), have been named as the 2017 Highly Cited Researchers by Clarivate Analytics.
Now in it's 4th year, the Highly Cited Researchers list represents some of the world's most influential scientific minds. Selected research ranks among the top 1% most cited works in a specific field and during its year of publication, earning the mark of exceptional impact.
Together with Associate Professor Tsuyoshi Hirota, Professor Kay's publication on the circadian rhythm was cited by the 2017 Nobel laureates winning the Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine "for their discoveries of molecular mechanisms controlling the circadian rhythm"..
