5-Adamantyl-IAA, a synthetic auxin developed by Professor Torii's group, has been brought to market by TCI

The research group of ITbM PI Professor Keiko Torii developed 5-Adamantyl-IAA for use in an auxin-inducible degron system, a technique to induce the degradation of a target protein. 5-Adamantyl-IAA's key feature is its ability to function at much lower concentration than natural auxin (1/1000), thanks to its thousand-times stronger affinity for the modified TIR receptor protein, which allows for a significantly less toxic protein degradation technique.

5-Adamantyl-IAA is available now from Tokyo Chemical Industry Co., Ltd.
