This experimental project seeks to understand what makes humans human instead of machines.

When a simple geometric shape, like a square, is hand-drawn, no line is perfectly straight. If it is repeatedly drawn, each time the shape is a little different from the previous shape. Such deviations in space and time differ from person to person, and therefore they are a window of humanness.

In addition, our brain tends to impose a meaning on whatever we see even if it is a mere geometric shape or an abstract movement. Furthermore, when we see a series of shapes and movements, we try to make causal connections in them by making up a story. Such imposed interpretations rely on the observer’s experience, which ultimately reflects who she/he is.
