Dr. Hidenori Takeuchi receives the MEXT Minister's Young Scientist Award
Dr. Hidenori Takeuchi (YLC researcher) of ITbM receives the MEXT (Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology) Minister's Young Scientist Award. MEXT recognizes people who have made outstanding achievements in research and development as well as promotion in the understanding of science and technology. The Young Scientist Award is awarded to young researchers below the age of 40, who have carried out original and exploratory research displaying outstanding research achievements.
Dr. Takeuchi receives this award for his research on "key molecules in egg and sperm cells responsible for species-specific pollen tube guidance". (Research Highlights: "Where males sense females in plants ~Unraveling the unknown receptors and mechanism for fertilization in plants~")
