Call for application to GTR program (2023)& Information sessions

Graduate Program of Transformative Chem-Bio Research (GTR Program), Nagoya University, is inviting first semester of PhD students who entered in 2023 to apply for the program as follows.
If you are planning to enter the doctoral program, please consider to apply for this program.

[Application Method]
Eligibility for Application
Students who entered (will enter) the Master's Program in Nagoya University in April (or October) 2023 and planning to advance to the doctoral program.
※The selection for autumn entrants will be held in November.
If you will enter the Master's program in October, please discuss with your supervisor and decide when to apply in spring or autumn.
※Graduate Schools and Departments, and Group inviting applications:
・Graduate School of Science (Department of Natural Science (Group of Chemistry, Group of Biology))
・Graduate School of Engineering(Department of Molecular and Macromolecular Chemistry/Department of Materials Chemistry/Department of Biomolecular Engineering)
・Graduate School of Bioagricultural Sciences
・Graduate School of Pharmaceutical Sciences

Application period
The 1st application period:March 1, 2023〜17:00 on April 10, 2023
The 2nd application Period:May 1, 2023〜17:00 on June 30, 2023
The 3rd application Period:July 3, 2023〜17:00 on Aug 31, 2023
※If the number of applicants reaches the maximum (30 people) in the 1st period, the 2nd and 3rd period may not be held.

Note
※Please submit the signed application form in PDF format and the applicant information in Excel format.
※You may submit a printed copy of the application form directly to the GTR student support office(理学部B館217室/Graduate School of Science, Building B, B217)
※If you do not receive the receipt notification within two business days or by April 10, it is possible that we have not received your application. Please contact the GTR student support office(gtr@itbm.nagoya- u.ac.jp)

Selection
 Selection is carried out based on reviewing the application documents and interviews.

Schedule
 17:00 on April 10:deadline for submission of applications
 April 12 - April 18:Interview (about 10 minutes.)
 April, 2023: Results Notification
June, 2023: Successful applicants will start RA support (83,000 yen/month).
 ※RA support for fall entrants begins after enrollment (in October).
 ※RA support for students prior to coming to Japan starts after their first day at university.
