ITbM-GTR Seminar
We are pleased to invite you to the upcoming research seminar at the Institute.
Date: Thursday, October 2, 2025
Time: 15:00 - 16:30
Language: English
Venue: 1F Lecture Room, ITbM
Speaker: Prof. Satchidananda Panda (Salk Institute for Biological Studies, La Jolla, USA)
Title: Optimizing Circadian Rhythm for Healthy Lifespan
Prof. Panda is a world-renowned researcher in circadian biology and metabolism. His pioneering studies have demonstrated how light exposure, feeding time, and daily routines influence molecular rhythms, metabolic health, and aging. In addition to his work on time-restricted feeding and circadian alignment, he has also explored the role of melanopsin and light sensing in regulating daily physiology. In this seminar, Prof. Panda will discuss recent discoveries on how circadian optimization--through both behavioral strategies and an understanding of light's impact on the body--can promote a healthier lifespan and reduce disease risks.
All researchers, staff, and students are welcome to attend. We look forward to your participation.
